Are you an animal lover? Do you enjoy learning interesting facts about animals and seeing them up close and in person? Join us for an interactive, hands-on opportunity to meet and learn about all kinds of animals—from species you can find in your own backyard to those found around the world—in ways you never have before.
This program is geared towards elementary-aged children and their parents/caregivers.
Learn the importance of training for dogs and some of the amazing things they can be trained to do. Mandy Eakins from Manners Matter Kentucky will demonstrate some training techniques and give pointers on starting the training journey. The Jessamine County Animal Shelter will be bringing one of their shelter dogs as part of the demonstration. Please do not bring your own animal from home to this program.
